Oh No!

Picture Hooks is an organisation that helps aspiring illustrators to get their work more widely known. This is my entry to their competition Oh No! whereby I had to make two illustrations featuring the same central character. In the first illustration the character is hoping to jump over the puddle but oh no! she's landed right in it!

Every project starts with a pencil sketch. At this stage I'm trying to capture the character, working out who they are and what they're doing and how they would do it. Then I work up my favourite sketches into the final illustrations.
