The National Trust, Osterley Park and House
I was asked to design two enamel pin badges for the National Trust at Osterley Park and House. Both were based on the Robert Adam marigold plaster relief found on the roof of the portico. A marigold was the emblem of the Childs family who resided at Osterley. They appear on architectural details throughout the property. The marigold is also the flower associated with Diwali and badges were launched at the opening of the first Marigold Festival at Osterley, as part of the Diwali celebrations held there.
Enamel pin badges, one inspired by the colours of Diwali and one by the colours of marigold flowers, plasterwork relief and ceiling that the design was based on, illustration to show the different colour ways.
